Will it work on my Mac?
speakeasy. is built for Apple Silicon Macs (M1 or later) running macOS 14 Sonoma or later. Intel Macs aren't supported.
Which apps can I dictate into?
speakeasy. is designed for text fields where you normally type, including email drafts, messages, documents, and prompts. Some apps and custom or protected fields may need manual paste. The widget will tell you when to paste your text yourself.
Do I need an account?
You can download the Mac app without an account. Sign in inside the app to use the Free, Standard, or Pro plan. You choose your plan during setup.
Does it work offline or in other languages?
speakeasy. currently supports English and needs an internet connection for transcription and optional Polish.
How long can I speak at a time?
Record up to five minutes at a time on every plan. Paid allowances are measured in recorded audio, so time spent waiting for your text doesn't use your hours.
How does the Free allowance work?
Free includes five dictations each week outside Practice. The allowance resets Monday at 00:00 UTC. Failed attempts don't count, and Practice doesn't use your allowance.
