Long Teams replies are where dictation earns its keep — status updates, explanations, meeting follow-ups. Speak the message instead of typing it.
Setup in three steps
- Download speakeasy. for Mac and open it — or build from source with your own Groq key.
- Grant microphone and accessibility permissions when macOS asks.
- Put your cursor in Teams's message box, hold Right Option, speak, release.
Keep Polish at minimal for chat: it keeps your natural tone while removing the ums and repeated words.
The target must be an ordinary editable text field. If automatic paste isn't available, the widget keeps your text on the clipboard and tells you to paste.
Questions
Does it need internet?
Yes. Hosted streaming transcription uses Deepgram; the non-streaming path and optional Polish use Groq. The source-built BYOK edition uses Groq. There is no offline mode today.
Is there a free way to use it?
Two: build from source with your own Groq key and pay Groq directly, or use the hosted Free plan with five dictations a week plus unlimited Practice.
Does it work on Windows?
