These terms cover the hosted speakeasy. product. The open-source edition remains governed by the license included with its source.

The service

speakeasy. provides hold-to-talk transcription and optional cleanup for ordinary editable fields on Mac. It pastes into the original field when safe, with clipboard and manual-paste recovery when needed. AI output can be inaccurate; review important text before relying on or sending it.

Plans, charges, and taxes

Paid hosted plans renew monthly until canceled. Prices are in USD plus applicable taxes. Stripe shows the final currency, tax, total, and any proration before payment. speakeasy. adds no processing, service, platform, or card surcharge.

Cancellation and plan changes

You can cancel through the billing portal. Cancellation and Pro-to-Standard downgrades take effect at renewal. A Standard-to-Pro upgrade is immediate with the disclosed proration. Signing out or withdrawing hosted processing consent does not cancel billing.

Refund Promise

One full refund per account is available when requested within 14 calendar days of a subscription charge and is returned to the original payment method. An approved full refund cancels your subscription immediately and returns your account to Free. Billing corrections and rights provided by applicable law are separate. Account deletion is not itself a refund request.

Account deletion

Account deletion blocks access and cancels future subscription billing. Once completed, it is permanent and cannot be undone. Cleanup may need a retry if a service is unavailable. Limited payment and tax records remain as described in the Privacy notice.

Availability and acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, interfere with it, or use it unlawfully. The service may change or be interrupted during development. Support has no response-time promise.
